Bespoke detached three-bedroom new build property.
Following a consultation with the client, Norfolk property Services; A J Dennis Plumbing & Heating installed a Grant Aerona which provides heating and hot water to the property. The Client opted for an air source heat pump (ASHP) for their project because of the rural location, the property is not on the mains gas and an ASHP is an energy efficient and more environmentally friendly heating alternative.
This heating project was completed in the Summer of 2022 qualifying the build for zero-rate of VAT for the installation of Renewable Heat https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/changes-to-the-vat-treatment-of-the-installation-of-energy-saving-materials-in-in-great-britain
Installed 10kw Grant Aerona air source heat pump with energy efficient radiators and underfloor heating with unvented hot water cylinder.
A J Dennis Plumbing & Heating also carried out the installation of one shower room ensuit, family bathroom and ground floor W.C.
The client wanted underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators on the first floor. This set up is ideal for an ASHP as it uses the thermal mass of the floor covering screed that the underfloor heating is concealed in to disperse the heat efficiently throughout the property. This method allows the heat pump to just trickle the heat in using less power than conventional heating methods i.e., steel radiators.
On completion the property has been awarded a B rating Energy Performance Certificate.
